As their names indicate, full and partial dentures are designed to replace either a complete arch of teeth or just a few missing teeth. Both types are removable, but while full dentures rest over the gums, partial dentures attach to the adjacent natural teeth using clasps that secure them in position.
Receiving your dentures typically takes several months, with the precise timeframe depending on your individual health circumstances. We’ll take measurements of your mouth and teeth and use impressions or digital scans to send to a dental laboratory where your dentures will be crafted.
Once your dentures are ready, you’ll return to us at Witney Smile Clinic where we’ll fit them for you, ensuring the fit, bite, and comfort are all appropriate.
Dentures are worn during the day and can accumulate food particles, debris, and bacteria. We suggest cleaning your dentures regularly throughout the day, particularly after meals. At night, your dentures should be stored in an antibacterial solution to clean them while you sleep.
